Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of BBRouter, the breadboard editor and simulator at bbrouter.com, run by BBRouter, LLC, 7901 4th St N, Ste 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, USA (“we”). By creating an account or using BBRouter, you agree to them. Questions: contact@bbrouter.com.

A service that changes

BBRouter keeps growing. Features will change, some may be removed, and things may break or be unavailable at times.

Plans and payments

BBRouter has a Free plan, at no cost, and paid plans, Maker and Classroom, whose prices and limits are on our pricing page. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Link (Sold through Link, LLC), Stripe’s affiliate. Link is the merchant of record for all our orders: it sells you the plan on our behalf, provides customer service for your order and handles returns. Link charges you (your statement shows LINK.COM*), adds or includes the sales tax or VAT your country requires, as shown before you pay, and sends your receipts and invoices; buying a plan, you also accept Link’s Sold Through Link terms. Stripe processes the payments.

A paid plan is a subscription, paid monthly or yearly in advance, that renews by itself at the end of each period until you cancel it. If its price changes, we’ll tell you before your next renewal at the new price. You can cancel any time from your account’s Billing page: nothing more is charged, and you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. If a payment fails, Link tries again for a while; if it still can’t be taken, the subscription ends. When a paid plan ends, your account moves to the Free plan: your projects stay yours, all of them still open and can be downloaded, and what you can add follows the Free plan’s limits.

You can ask for a full refund within 15 days of subscribing: see our Refund Policy.

Your account

Give a real email address and keep your password and passkeys to yourself: you’re responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person. If you’re under 13 (or the age your country sets), use BBRouter only with a parent’s or teacher’s permission. Tell us at once if you think someone else got into your account.

Your projects

What you make in BBRouter is yours. You let us store, copy, process and display it as needed to run BBRouter for you: saving it, simulating it, making its versions, backups and exports. When you create a share link, anyone who has it can view that project and save their own copy, until you stop sharing it. Don’t upload what you have no right to share.

BBRouter itself, its software, its parts library, its examples, its design and its name, is ours. These terms let you use it, not copy, resell or rebuild it.

Acceptable use

Don’t use BBRouter to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
  • get into accounts or data that aren’t yours, or probe, scan or attack the service;
  • overload it, scrape it, or make accounts automatically;
  • spread malware, spam, or content meant to harass or harm.

Using BBRouter through your own AI assistant or the Arduino IDE is welcome, within these same limits. We may limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, commits fraud or puts others at risk, and we’ll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

Simulation is not the bench

BBRouter’s simulation, routing, checks, build sheets and bills of materials are aids, not guarantees. Real parts and real circuits can behave differently. Check your circuit before powering it, and take the usual care with electricity, tools and parts.

No warranty

BBRouter is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of work that matters (BBRouter can export your projects).

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or time, arising from your use of BBRouter, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it (nothing, on the Free plan). Some places don’t allow these limits; there, they apply only as far as allowed.

Ending

You can stop using BBRouter at any time and ask us to delete your account. If we ever shut BBRouter down, we’ll give you notice and a way to export your projects first.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If something goes wrong, write to us first: most problems can be settled that way. Otherwise, disputes go to the state courts of Pinellas County, Florida, or the federal courts of the Middle District of Florida. If you use BBRouter as a consumer and live elsewhere, you keep the protection of your own country’s mandatory consumer laws, and you may bring a claim in your local courts. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.

Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above, and tell you before any change that matters to you takes effect; using BBRouter afterwards means you accept the new terms.
